Common questions

What kind of fragrance oil is this?

A concentrated fragrance oil for making with — candles, wax melts, soap, room and linen sprays, and diffusers. It is not a finished perfume and is not meant to be worn neat. Every scent lists its own IFRA limit per application above.

Where are Sable Scents made?

Every bottle is filled, labelled and checked by hand in Marietta, Georgia. Orders are bottled as they come in rather than pulled off a shelf, so nothing sits around losing its top notes.

What sizes can I get, and what do they cost?

Most scents come in 1 oz, 4 oz and 16 oz. Prices vary by scent — the designer-inspired ones cost us more, so they cost a little more. Wax and bases have their own size ladders, up to a full case.

How should I store my fragrance?

Keep it somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight. Heat and light are what break a fragrance down over time, so a drawer or a cabinet beats a sunny windowsill. Stored properly, it will stay true for years. Our bottles are glass and fully recyclable.

What does "inspired by" mean?

An inspired-by oil is built around the character and accords of a fragrance you already know, without the designer markup. It is not the original and is not sold as it — the name is there so you know what it smells like. Scents with no inspired-by line are originals.
